Few medical conditions are as controversial, shrouded in misinformation, and often dismissed as fibromyalgia. A chronic disorder that causes muscle pain and fatigue, it can often take years before a person receives a diagnosis, and that is largely because there are no tests designed to determine it, rather, it is through a process of elimination that doctors normally land on fibromyalgia as the problem.
While doctors have yet to determine a quick and accurate way of diagnosing fibromyalgia, as a condition, it has been slowly gaining the recognition it rightfully deserves.
